About us
It is a scientific and professional medical body that brings together ophthalmologists in Syria and focuses on developing the scientific and specialized standards of ophthalmology within the country through scientific and practical activities.
It organizes annual conferences and medical documents aimed at exchanging expertise among specialists and keeping up with the latest techniques in eye treatment and surgery. An example is the 41st annual conference held in Damascus with the participation of doctors from inside and outside Syria, which included scientific activities and specialized discussions.
The Syrian Ophthalmological Society is not a treatment-providing body in itself, but rather a professional and scientific organization that contributes to raising the standard of ophthalmology in Syria through continuing education, scientific conferences, and the exchange of expertise among physicians. It also works to promote health awareness about eye diseases.
The initial membership fee is 150,000 Syrian Pounds.
The annual fee is 50,000 Syrian Pounds.
